I'm so elated to hear Olga Valle Tetkowski discuss my drawing in this short Sound Cloud clip. She also shares her notions on a few other works she chose for inclusion in "Drawing Lines Across Mediums" at Site:Brooklyn (on view until April 22). A new platform called Cosimo Audio develops audio tours for art galleries, which is such an exciting thing (and one of those "How did I not think of that?!" moments.) Essentially, this app can allow curious minds from near and far to experience an exhibition they may not be able to attend. Another amazing thing it can do is just what you see in this clip: give insight into a juror's decision making process via voice-over interviews.
I feel so lucky to be included in the exhibition, and especially thrilled that they'll be using Olga's voice-over about my drawing as one of their marketing materials.
Olga Valle Tetkowski is currently the head of exhibitions at The Drawing Center in New York City. She has also been the Administrator of Curatorial Projects and the Curator at Bard Graduate Center NYC, and has held the Assistant Curator positions at the Museum of Art and Design, Urban Glass, and the Paul Robeson Galleries at Rutgers University. Simply put: She is a big deal, and this video made my day!
